Identifying Potential
The process begins with capacity assessment. How many charging stations can be installed with the existing main power connection capacity? What needs to be considered when installing charging stations, especially in underground car parks, and what are the costs of implementing the project? These are among the common questions when charging stations are to be installed. SPARK provides answers to all these questions and much more. Our Quick Check and potential analysis form the basis for a concept that meets the needs of the property and its tenants. For the Bilma building, the analysis was the first step before implementation.
Power in the High-Rise
Considering the reserves at the main building connection, we installed pre-installation for a total of 40 charging points. With a central distribution system in the 3rd basement, parking spaces on the 3 parking levels can be successively and economically equipped. As part of this, 4 charging points have already been installed on the 2nd and another 4 charging points on the 3rd underground parking level.
Dynamic Load Management
Another component in the implementation of the project was the installation of a main connection monitoring system to control loads within the charging network. In the NSHV area, a meter was installed for this purpose, which permanently monitors the two supply lines from the transformers located in the building. In this way, the property is always primarily supplied with power, and reserves are immediately made available for charging electric vehicles.
