WHAT IS THE GEIG?

Since March 2021, the Building Electric Mobility Infrastructure Act (GEIG) has required owners and developers to prepare parking spaces for electric mobility or to install charging points.

With the EPBD amendment adopted by the EU in May 2024, the requirements for providing charging infrastructure will become even stricter. However, the EU specifications must still be transposed into national law (GEIG).
